How have we used our 100 words this week?

Tillie 100wc week 23

Target: to express peoples feelings

A thousand years ago there was an ancient sofa built in the great part of the street there lay a grey smooth stone sofa. This sofa was built by Albert Einstein he felt like black people should have the rights to sit on the same bench as a white person. But sadly he didn’t know how to make the sofa soft even though he’s a scientist. One day Barack Obama made a statement “Black people are now have the rights to sit next to a white person as well as go to the same school”.Hooray said the black people.

Hello Tillie. Wow! You’ve used some really strong ideas in your story, and some very important people! I like your idea about Albert Einstein not being able to make the couch soft even though he was a Scientist! You have included good description of the sofa (grey, smooth) too. Well done.

    Hi Tillie
I really like how you have intertwined the history you are learning with the description of the sofa (although I’m not so sure Albert Einstein is quite that old!) I am really impressed with your sentence opening ‘But, sadly…’ and using speech makes your comment about black people being able to sit next to white people really powerful. Be careful to add a comma before you open the speech marks and leave space after a full stop. Well done.
