Children in Need 2013

Thank you for supporting our effort for Children in Need. The children looked great in their pjs and onesies and I have to say they joined in with the Pudsey activities brilliantly. Watch our video to see what we got up to.

Autumn Term

What a busy first half term we have had. All the children have settled in well to school life and are busy learning lots of new things. We hope you enjoyed our, ‘Little Red Hen’ performance. The children had lots of fun learning the story, making the masks and finger puppets and making the bread.

We are starting back after half term with our new topic of, ‘SUPER HEROES’ we are sure the children will really enjoy this and it gives us lots of opportunities to learn while having fun.

Puffin Class

Welcome to our very first class blog.

Starting school is a very exciting time for our children with lots of new people to meet and lots of new things to do.

Here are just a few of the many activities we have been up to.

In our daily phonics sessions we have been playing games that help us to listen to the sounds all around us and we have been learning letter sounds, known as phonemes, following the Letters and Sound phonics program.

We have been learning how to count and recognise numbers.

We are practicing how to write our names.

First thing each morning we are learning how to be independent by recognising our name card and choosing our lunch, putting our book bag and coat away and then choosing an activity.

We are getting to know each others names and make new friends.

We have learnt our class rules;
